ENDORSED
BY PROFESSIONALS Firefighting professionals, who have seen FireAde AFFF
Foam at work, give it the highest praise. Unlike conventional foams, FireAde AFFF
Foam has the ability to both cool fires and keep Ethanol fumes from escaping its
long lasting blanket. FireAde AFFF Foam's unique formula enables it to creep across
the top of a fuel spill or a flammable liquid fire, cutting off the oxygen supply
and smothering the flames. With FireAde AFFF Foam, a blanket of foam keeps fires
from spreading, protecting property, preventing injuries and saving lives. FireAdeAFFF
Receives The Highest Environmental Classification
After An 8 Month TUV/WGK Environmental Study Conducted In Germany
ECONOMICAL AND LONG LASTING When water based FireAde AFFF Foam is mixed
with water in a 1 percent solution, it will work as effectively on many fires
as the 3 percent solution required by other products. Standard operating procedures
for other foam products call for application every 15 minutes. FireAde AFFF Foam
will maintain a fire-smothering blanket for one hour. So instead of the conventional
requirement of four applications in a one-hour period, FireAde AFFF Foam achieves
the same or superior results with one application, a saving of 75 percent to users.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FireAde AFFF Foam is nontoxic, biodegradable
and listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), America's most respected authority
on product safety. Many conventional foam products are loaded with potentially
hazardous solvents that can infiltrate the soil and create problem conditions
in water supplies. FireAde AFFF Foam does not contain any solvent listed as hazardous.
Studies conducted by TUV, one of Europe's most highly regarded testing laboratories,
show that FireAde AFFF Foam and other products of Fire Service Plus are not toxic
to animals, even in concentrations of 100 percent. FireAde AFFF Foam's environmentally
friendly characteristics; have been documented by third party inspectors. Many
other products lack such documentation.
PROTECTS EQUIPMENT Conventional foam products must be purged from pumps
and other delivery equipment as soon as possible after use. If these products
are not cleaned from the equipment, they will begin to coagulate. In 24 to 48
hours, the residues of conventional foam products will turn into a solid that
will gum up valves and check balls. The equipment will not operate properly until
the foam residue is cleaned. The cleaning process requires time and manpower and
takes away from the readiness of the equipment. With FireAde AFFF Foam, costly
coagulation is eliminated. Use FireAde AFFF Foam one day and it will be ready
to use again the next. In fact, FireAde AFFF Foam acts as a lubricant, leaving
a silky finish that actually smoothes the functioning of the equipment and keeps
it ready for use whenever needed.
EXTENDED SHELF LIFE FireAde AFFF Foam, like all firefighting materials
made by Fire Service Plus, will not separate or coagulate even if the container
seal is broken. Even if left in an open container fully exposed to air, FireAde
AFFF Foam's performance will not be affected. It will not lose its consistency.
It will not begin to divide into its various components. Conventional foam products
will begin to degrade as soon as they come into contact with oxygen. They will
deteriorate into a thick paste or gel, losing their effectiveness, jamming application
equipment and requiring time consuming cleanup.
STABILITY WITH A PAYOFF FireAde AFFF Foam not only resists the effect
of oxygen exposure, it also is immune to UV damage. FireAde AFFF Foam is packed
in translucent containers so fluid levels can be checked without opening a container.
Other foam products are sold in white containers because the white material stops
the penetration of ultraviolet light. Unlike FireAde AFFF Foam, these other products
are UV sensitive and will deteriorate under UV exposure. FireAde AFFF Foam is
treated with a water based food grade dye that will change in color after prolonged
exposure to sunlight. However, the change will not affect the effectiveness of
FireAde AFFF Foam in any way.
READY FOR ACTION Most foam products are very sensitive to cold weather.
To keep them from freezing, many companies add chemical antifreeze. This does
provide some protection against freezing but it also introduces a potentially
toxic substance into the product. To protect users and the environment, the makers
of FireAde AFFF Foam have opted against the addition of an antifreeze component.
Like all products of Fire Service Plus, FireAde AFFF Foam contains no antifreeze.
Since it is water based, FireAde AFFF Foam will freeze at about 17 degrees Fahrenheit
if it is exposed to the weather for six to eight hours. But even if it is frozen
solid, FireAde AFFF Foam will experience no loss of effectiveness. Simply thaw
it at room temperature, shake the container two or three times and it will be
ready to use. Neither freezing nor heat will hurt a FireAde product in any way.
BEATS THE COMPETITION In demonstrations before professional firefighters,
FireAde AFFF clearly shows its leadership. When applied to a burning pan filled
with gasoline, the product will spread across the top of the pan, creating a blanket
of foam that shuts off the oxygen and extinguishes the fire in 10 seconds. FireAde
AFFF Foam utilizes the breakthrough chemical technology that is the foundation
of all the products developed by Fire Service Plus. It is the finest firefighting
material of its kind. It is reliable, economical and easy to use. It will work
in any situation that calls for the application of foam. Like other Fire Service
Plus products, FireAde AFFF Foam leads the way in conserving dollars, reducing
fire damage and saving lives.
