TESTS and COMPARISONS

Wetting agent test

PRACTICAL TESTS

An extensive range of practical tests have been conducted on a wide variety of fires.
Click HERE to view various pictures of some of these tests. Fire Service Plus also has video footage that demonstrate the superior performance of FireAde 2000 and this footage is available to view on CD rom.

Please contact your nearest Fire Service Plus office for your copy of the CD rom.

TRANSFORMER FIRE
A major American Power Plant conducted a fire test involving 15.000 US gallons of hydraulic transformer oil. The tests compared FireAde 2000 and AFFF Foam.

Heat from the fire was so intense that fire crews had difficulties in establishing a foam blanket before it evaporated. In the AFFF Foam test, fire crews had to remain in attendance for over 12 hours, continuously applying foam to ensure complete extinguishment. After only 30 seconds of applying FireAde 2000 heat sensors indicated an 800 Degrees F (426.6 Degrees C) drop in temperature and the fire crew was able to stand down after only 40 minutes.

In both cases the transformer was destroyed by the initial explosion.

The significant savings made are obvious.

BRUSH WOOD FIRE
These tests were conducted by a fully trained Volunteer Fire Department in the USA.
Approximately 10.3 acres of brush was lit in a controlled situation in order to compare the effectiveness of FireAde 2000 and AFFF Foam.
